More baby news! Rachel and Nathan welcome into the world Dov Samuel who joins his baby sister Noa.

Has it really been a year?

It's going to be a busy month. Officially became Steering Committee Chair for DC Web Women last night, with a members' social gathering on the 12th and speaking about e-mail marketing at a meeting on the 26th. Plus I'm doing another Shopping Guide piece for CultureFlux. And I'm putting together a proposal to do some freelance web work for my father-in-law's medical office. For purely social events, AALEAD's mentor-mentee picnic is Saturday, we're going to Six Flags on Sunday, and we've been invited to a brunch and a Sopranos kickoff party on the 15th. And the Downtown Ladies' Club resumes monthly meetings on the 19th. Whew!

A rainy Labor Day weekend. Friday and Saturday nights chez Ken's dad. We both worked Saturday morning -- he moonlighted and I talked to his dad's office manager about developing a web site for the medical center. Lots of doing nothing, interspersed with a futile search at Home Depot and Lowe's for a patio door cat flap insert, a concert by the Weakerthans at the Black Cat, and dinner with Ken's brother, Kevin.
